Secretary Clinton Asserts that Iran Becoming a Military Dictatorship

Earlier this week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asserted that Iran is turning into a military dictatorship under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).  Clinton added statistics showing increased control of Iranian cabinet ministries  under the IRGC.  While there is must to suggest that Iran is still more of a theocracy where civilian control (albeit undemocratic) is higher than military, this could likely be a shot at the Iranian government for brutal crackdowns on peaceful political protesters.

Additionally, as the WSJ reports, this may assist the Obama White House in setting the stage for stricter sanctions that target the IRGC.
