Yesterday, three international soldiers and fourteen insurgents died in combat in the Afghan province of Helmand. Two of the allied soldiers were British and the nationality of the third, a serviceman of the International Security Assistance Force, was undisclosed. Eleven militants were killed when Afghan forces, receiving support from NATO, raided Sistanay, a village located in Helmand. The raid turned up weapons, opium and materials used in the creation of explosives.
