Navistar Gets $348 Million Order for 1,928 Military Trucks

Navistar International Corp. announced that it has received an order for $348 million dollars worth of medium-sized tactical vehicles which will be sent to U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan. The ordered trucks are designed for a variety of functions including serving as water-tankers, petroleum transporters, and wreckers. This contract signals a break in Navistar’s losing streak of securing high-profit military contracts which includes losing two contracts to Oshkosh, a Wisconsin-based company.
