When asked if she thought the Pakistani army should expand its current offensive in South Waziristan into North Waziristan, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the Pakistani military “can’t just play Whack-a-Mole” and must remain on the offensive to beat the Taliban. However, she also stressed the good working relationship the two countries currently share, and the fact that the Pakistani people seem to be generally supportive of the Army.
